What does an Energy Champion do?

  • Give energy efficiency advice. 
  • Attend energy efficiency events and advice clinics. 
  • Provide knowledgeable and trusted support. 
  • Enjoy flexible working hours and be able to work some evenings and weekends. 

You will need to be able to:

  • Have a friendly disposition.  
  • Talk to members of the public sympathetically and confidently. 
  • Complete our Energy Champions course. 
  • Give advice that is correct and knowledgeable.  
  • Be prepared to support vulnerable and non-digital people.  
  • Provide advice at events in your community. 

Get trained up for free!

The training course involves an in person one day training course in your district; there are follow-up online modules to gain additional skills such as training to use the Fairer Warmth online tool to create energy efficiency plans for the people you advise.
