Phoenix Art Space is a dynamic arts organisation located in the centre of Brighton and established as a charity in 1995. Through our 100+ artists’ studios, and an accessible programme of high-quality exhibitions we are a place to make, learn and talk about contemporary art, embedded in our local community and with an international outlook Our vision commits us to tackling inequity in the arts and in accessing the arts and recognise that a sustainable ethos is necessary for people and the planet to survive and thrive. Our mission is to provide cultural leadership in the city through an ambitious, welcoming public programme. We are an economic powerhouse, providing inclusive creative and digital workspace to a number of small businesses, including artists, craftspeople and designer-makers, contributing to the economic well-being of our city. We value creativity, curiosity, generosity, compassion and ingenuity and the contribution that innovation in creative practice makes to the health and well-being of society.
