Since March 2023 CEP have been working across Suffolk to help strengthen existing community energy groups and to develop new groups, all with the aim of cutting carbon in their communities.

CEP has supported communities to incorporate four new Community Energy businesses, leveraged in funding to create three energy advice projects, and create more than ten new job roles. The Suffolk Community Energy Network has eight member organisations and meets regularly to share best practice and to offer each other support.

This project was made possible thanks to funding provided by Suffolk’s public sector organisations as part of the wider work to address the climate emergency, and the Suffolk Climate Change Partnership.
